Sustainable products, 100% made of recycled plastic packaging material

We are all aware of the growing and global issue of plastic waste. Your daily shoppings contain (too) much of plastic packaging and foils, plastic bottles and so forth. Instead of disposing those products by burning them, we could make good use of it. In the recycling business though, we encounter difficulties to source safe and clean recycled materials suitable for our technical requirements. Therefore we source high quality, clean and safe recycled material.

There are 2 features we focus on: economics and ecology.

Economics, because the material doesn’t need any maintenance, is fully resistant to any weather conditions and easy to apply in the same way as wood. Durability is guaranteed too!

Ecology, because these sustainable products can be recycled 100% again, thus a fully circular process.

The challenge in recycling is the separation of waste. In Europe this has been very advanced in comparison to some other regions. Therefore a pre-selection is made of the plastics, prior to the further sorting, washing, cutting and drying process. Afterwards the granulate is created suitable in size for the machinery to manufacture products for gardens, landscaping and urban spaces with a natural look. The products also are very popular for creators of organically shaped ponds and garden structures. The final products are of high quality, flexible where required and supply through professional channels only.

Material specifications, the original!

As usual successful products are being copied, but most times never equal in quality and longevity. BERA is synonymous for innovation and unparalleled levels in sustainability and quality. With these ranges of edging another category is added to the BERA scope of supply.

To separate plastics, it is essential to get the ‘recipe’ right ensuring strength and yet flexibility when required. The entire process is complicated to create these specifications whilst ensuring the high demands on safety for people, animals and environment. Please consider all aspects when choosing your materials.

ECO EDGE – the original!

ECO EDGE is a very stable range of edging for ponds and landscaping without any risk of rotting. Easy to apply and install similar to wooden equivalents without any additional or special tools.

Sustainably manufactured with 100% cleaned recycled plastic and after use 100% recyclable. A perfect good and responsible alternative to other edgings made of metal, plastics or wood.

ECO EDGE is available in straight panels for a fully straight and rigid separation of two sections such as grass, borders or paths. The same design, but flexible, come in rolls for organically shaped gardens and landscapes or ponds. All ready to install with the pins for a stable positioning of the edge.

The natural looks, a little ‘rough surface’ and the colors grey and black perfectly match the color schemes of most gardens, landscapes or urban spaces.

ECO EDGE is being used by professionals throughout Europe since many years, also in urban spaces for parks, resorts and recreational areas. The material is very rigid and safe having no sharp edges and corners.

installation

ECO EDGE products, whether straight or curved are easy to install. After partially inserting the edging into a trench following the desired shaping, the basic stability is there. Add soil pins to enhance the stability and support where required.

1. Prepare a ditch for at least 2/3rd of the height of the edge and the desired shape

2. Level the edge in accordance with the design

3. Add a pin at the back of the edge on every 50cm distance, insert the pin into the soil 3cm lower than the top of the edge

4. Use suitable screws to fix the pin and the edge. Close the ditch and compact the soil against the edge
