What are Wicking Kits?
Similar to other WaterUps® systems, water is drawn upwards from the reservoir (enhanced by perlite) into the potting soil via capillary action. Roots located approximately 30-35 cm above the cells will now experience optimal moisture for exceptional growth and 80% less water usage.
By using one of the four kits, every vegetable garden enthusiast, as well as professional landscapers, has the opportunity to reduce watering frequency to every few weeks instead of every few days. This is achieved without evaporation or water loss, as occurs with top-down watering.
